At least 4 Trilos!

What a hunt(s)! Went with a friend to a “Junk Redefined” sale on Cty. 11 about 4 miles north of Fountain. We took separate vehicles because I anticipated checking out a road cut and picking up feed for the critters. But this turned into more like 4 individual hunts! I’m contemplating if I should do these as separate posts to divide the locations… We’ll see what happens!

Hunt 1 Cty. 11 about 5 miles north of Fountain.

Road cut on west side by home. Fossilsized and picked up a horn coral and hash plate. Gave it to

homeowner and got a  tour of her beautiful flower gardens. 🙂

But the hotbed that I found was under the telephone pole (note top of picture). That is where I

pulled all of the rocks out of and the big trilo pygidium with some of the shell still attached. Shame, if I had found it before winter it may have had all of the attached yet.
