Occasionally we find Ice Age fossils in southeastern Minnesota. Besides the driftless area that was not covered by glaciers in the last Ice Age, the glaciers brought down these teeth and so they can be found anywhere in Minnesota.
Southeast Minnesota is actually a hot bed of reported Mammoth Tooth finds! Thought these might help you if you run across that odd rock that you just know is something. 🙂
Mammoths had baby teeth that they shed and then the adult teeth came in.
