Decorah Shale???
This road cut is about, don’t quote me, 3-5 miles east of Spring Grove on the road to Caledonia. I believe this is the one referred to in the book “Roadsite Geology of Minnesota”. Looks like Decorah Shale to me, but what do I know! 😀
It runs several hundred feet on both sides of the road.
I just had enough time to check it for being fossilized, yes it is, and take some pictures for you!
