More Crinoids and bigger ones!

I was on my way back from Fountain where I picked up some horse and chicken feed and just couldn’t resist a little scoutin’ out new places and a stop at “the beach”. The sun was shining, temps in the low 80s, bird song and the sweet scent of wild flowers filled the air and with the comforting splashing of the water on rocks as it rolled downstream it was a perfect hunt! Well, the bull in the pasture across the creek constantly bellowing was a bit loud, but they are part of being out in nature too. I stopped at a “beach” about 1/8 each of my normal one–not a thing. And on the way home, I stopped at the beach at Masonic Park and didn’t find anything either. But that beach on Cty. 8 I profiled before is truly wonderful!

I found this wonderful crinoid rock. Each of those spaces in the table are 1.5″ wide and 1″ tall, so you can guesstimate the size of these!

And this almost complete receptaculitid. A little water worn, but you can see where I wet it that there are good details still left.

I’m not 100% sure what it is, but have it on thefossilforum.com for ID.

And “the haul”. LOL 😀

A wonderful, calm, beautiful fossil hunt with some nice finds to show for it!
