Here’s a nice fossiliferous road cut on Cty. 22. Oh, about 3 miles west of Harmony that goes several hundred feet on both sides of the road. I found crinoid segments, brachs, embedded cephs and looked like it may be good for trilobites. I only picked for about 10 minutes in maybe a 50′ length, as I was on the way to a meeting. So, hard to say what is all there, but I got a backpack full of fossilized rock in that short of a time! I’m thinking it is shale or very layered Galena Formation.
About a mile east of here on #22 is another cut barely showing as the grass is high.
Happy Hunting!

Found a handful of nice gastropods. they were in the upper layers of the formation but were nice specimens.”
