So, I put them on thefossilforum.com ID forum.

John K came back and knew what they were immediately!

Geodes!

Similar to Keokuk Geodes!

And he told me to crack them!

And I did!

Cracked with a hammer! And they sparkle!

Sooooo Pretty!

There is a webpage devoted just to Keokuk Geodes, go there!

http://www.geodegallery.com/keokuk.html

So, another friend on TFF said they can’t be Keokuk Geodes

because I’m in the wrong formation.

Hmmm, but they are geodes!

Apparently geodes are quite common in limestone formations.

So, the next time you see a roundish rock, or group of rocks,

break them open and see what you get!

I have found a number of geodized fossils, go here to see some of the Geodized Cephalopods. And more links on geodes.
